A one act that demonstrates the true grit of an Italian immigrant. Annarita's brutal past - from being a child working in the Pennsylvania coal mines to being given in marriage to pay off her father's debt - has not dimmed her sense of inner strength and bravado. Interspersing her today and many yesterdays, the play takes us on a poignant journey through one immigrant's experience. 6 actors Simple set. 45 minutes.
Talking animals, magic and mayhem make this a great play for young performers. An old woman, does the unthinkable - she allows her selfish whiny granddaughter to literally bite the bird that feeds them - A Great Eagle. Based on an Ashanti Tale, the play celebrates the storytelling tradition. An energetic troupe, in story theatre fashion, becomes the numerous characters in the tale. 5 actors and a puppeteer or as large a cast as a director wishes. 45 minutes.

A woman, alone at home as the Twin Towers were hit, finds that e-mail is her only life line to her family and friends. Their voices fill her home through the words they have dashed off on-line. Little Ruthie Dennis, a child loving her NJ farm fields, grew up to inspire generations of dancers including Martha Graham, Doris Humbphrey and Charles Weidman. This theatrical piece marries the dance and wit of this incredible women. An elder St. Denis reflects on her childhood and reveals her secrets to a young reporter. Through her reminiscence, we see the dances performed that set the world on fire and changed the course of dance history. Perfect for university dance departments! 6 actors plus 6-12 dancers.

Each quick snap shot of a wait - for the ATM Machine - for a pal to show up at the restaurant - for AAA on the turnpike - and more - can be played by a small ensemble or a director can use different actors for each ten minute play within the play. 6 actors to ?
